Our Brain, and the Different Wave States and Sound Frequencies using Binaural Technologies
There are four main brain states that we can be in at any time- they are
• Beta
• Alpha
• Theta and
• Delta.
Each type of state has a frequency in a different range and represents a different state of our brains at any time.
Our normal, waking or daily state is the beta state, and our brain frequency would be around 14 Hz and above (Hz or hertz represents cycles per second).
When we are dreaming, or in a very much more relaxed state, than normal daily activity, we are in the alpha wave state, where the frequency of our brains is around 8 to 13 Hz.
When we are sleeping, (but not dreaming), we are in the theta wave state (around 4 to 7 Hz), and finally, the most relaxed state is delta. The frequency in this state is up to 3 Hz. This is the deepest state of relaxation that a person can be in.
In order to reach a more relaxed state in theta and delta, great care and practice needs to be applied, but this can be done, with the assistance of audio signals, which are best heard through the use of a headset, as individual sounds, or frequencies can be sent to each ear, without a crosstalk effect.
Crosstalk means that each channel of audio is not affecting the other channel.
Audio Frequency and Meditation
You may have read articles on meditation, and read about monks, for example, who have trained for years to be able to reach deep meditation states around the delta brain wave frequency.
Now, as it turns out, that method is still valid if you choose, but the process can be made much easier and simpler with the use of specific recordings with frequency applications included in the soundtrack.
In most cases, the audio is recorded over the sound of a gentle stream, or something similar, and this is what we ‘consciously’ listen too.
However, the subconscious mind is also hearing the frequency tones that are also recorded on the soundtrack, which will have different frequencies on each channel. (left and right).
An example of this would be that one channel has a frequency of 110 Hz and the other channel a frequency of 120 Hz.
Hence, the brain will actually ‘hear’ the combinational difference, or binaural beat, which would, in this case, be 10 Hz.
Research has been done to find that the frequencies we hear through this technology can affect the way our brain waves oscillate, and can help to place us in deeper states of relaxation, very much more quickly than can be achieved by the traditional methods of meditation.

Please note that in no way, am I suggesting that traditional meditation is no good, or does not work, but rather an explanation of other methods that are being found to work as well.
